Maggie Doogan keeps finding her name on elite lists.
Last week the University of Richmond senior and Cardinal O’Hara product was named to the preseason watch lists for the 2026 Katrina McClain Award, given to the nation’s top power forward, and the 2025-26 Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy, awarded to the best women’s player in Division I.
Doogan is the reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, coming off a breakout junior season in which she averaged 17.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game. She finished third in scoring, second in field goal percentage (55.5%) and seventh in 3-point percentage (40.6%).
Her 12 games of 20-plus points included a career-high 37 against George Mason, and she added 40 blocks on the season to rank sixth in the conference.
