Gov. Josh Shapiro has used his voice in TV ads to campaign for three sitting Democrats on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court who are up for retention on Tuesday.
Now, on Election Day eve, Democrats in key counties, including Dauphin, York and Lancaster, are hearing Shapiro’s voice on their phones.
The evening robocall blitz will target 150,000 Democrats in 17 counties. In addition to central Pennsylvania, residents in the northeast and southeast will also be getting calls, according to Shapiro’s campaign spokesman Manuel Bonder.
In the call, paid for by the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, Shapiro urges voters to vote “yes” to retain Justices Christine Donohue, Kevin M. Dougherty and David Wecht, saying they will protect Pennsylvanians’ " freedom and the rule of law."
