CLAYTON COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) - A 96-year-old was hospitalized Monday morning following a crash with a semi-truck in Clayton County.

The Iowa State Patrol responded to the crash at the intersection of Highway 13 and Highway 52 just after 10 a.m.

They say Hilarey Recker was traveling along Highway 13 when she failed to stop at a stop sign as she approached the intersection.

Recker was turning onto Highway 52 when her Lincoln Town Car was hit by an oncoming Semi. The truck ended up in the southbound ditch following the crash.

Recker was taken to the hospital for her injuries.
