SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary hosted its annual Red Kettle Run at LSUS to fundraise for programs that provide meals and support to those in need. The development director for the Salvation Army of Northwest Louisiana, Julie Allen, said she knows the community will come together to help those in need.
"We know it's very scary times, but we also know God's going to provide. We are here to be able to ensure that those who are hungry, those who need help with utilities, and those who need help with just next steps in other support get it," said Allen.
The Salvation Army has helped many people like Anna Pullano for over 150 years, so that children and adults can continue to live their lives while trying to get back on their feet.
