YOUNGSTOWN According to a news release issued Monday, Youngstown State University (YSU) has earned the Foundry Educational Foundation (FEF) certification.
YSU is the first university in Ohio to receive the certification and is one of six recipients selected in the 2025-2026 cycle, according to the release.
The FEF certification recognizes colleges and universities across the United States that meet the foundation's standards in metalcasting and foundry education.
According to the release, this certification will allow YSU to expand its educational offerings in advanced manufacturing and metalcasting disciplines.
