GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - University of Florida students could get a lesson in economics if UF leaders raise fees next year.
Members of the UF Board of Trustees are considering hiking the athletic fee by one dollar and 56 cents per credit hour and the health fee by 27 cents per credit hour.
Board members say the athletic fee has not changed since 2000, and the health fee since 2015.
If approved, the changes would be effective in the fall of 2026.
Leaders will be discussing the proposal during their December 4th meeting.
