GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - One of the best things about the Gator women’s basketball team is the number of returning players, including the scoring core of Liv McGill and Laila Reynolds. Both did not disappoint.

After a rusty first quarter, the Gators scored 29 points in the second, with McGill and Reynolds combining for 25 points. Also impressively coming off the bench is the international standout, Nyadieng Yiech, netting 10 points.

After holding UNF to 27 points in the first. The Gators did not let off the gas as Liv McGill led the way with 26 points, nine boards, and a team-high nine assists and five steals. Me’Arah O’Neal scored 13 of her 14 points in the second half, including 11 boards and two blocks. Laila Reynolds continued the scoring onslaught with 19 of her own.
