MOUNT ULLA — West Rowan’s star running back Devaunh White wasn’t 100 percent, but he could have played if needed in Friday’s 49-7 romp against Salisbury.
“He was dressed, and he was ready,” West head coach Louis Kraft said. “But we could see after a couple of possessions that we could rest White for the playoffs. It was Senior Night, and we just decided to roll with Cooper Martin in the backfield.”
Martin turned in a respectable 87 yards on 17 carries, and the Falcons went to the air efficiently and didn’t allow a sack. Brant Graham threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns. Backup QB Xavier Gray also had a touchdown pass.
“Brant is playing some of the best ball of his career right now,” Kraft said.
