LANDIS — Carson romped 35-0 against South Rowan in South Piedmont Conference action on Friday.

The Cougars (5-5, 3-4) got some revenge for South’s 2024 victory in the neighborhood rivalry, scoring early and often, including a dynamic hitch-and-pitch play late in the first half that Rosean Perkins toted to the end zone.

Perkins scored four touchdowns and a 2-point conversion and accounted for 220 yards rushing and receiving for the Cougars, who dominated on both sides of the ball. The Cougars achieved a running clock with their 35-point lead in the third quarter.

Griffin Barber was 8-for-11 passing for 140 yards. He had a rushing score and a passing TD.
