SALISBURY — Homecoming — “Stonecoming” — went smoothly for the Livingstone Blue Bears football team on Saturday.
Shaw (2-7, 2-5) came to town with the CIAA’s shakiest offense and got worse. Livingstone’s defense dominated the action and keyed a 43-13 blowout.
Livingstone (5-4. 3-3) trailed 6-0 early, but got on the board with a safety and took charge in the second quarter with three touchdowns.
Livingstone scored twice on defense, with Kobe Pringle and Kenyon Garner marching to the Shaw end zone with fumble returns of 18 and 45 yards.
Jason Zapata kicked two field goals.
Livingstone’s offense did enough to make it an enjoyable day for the 3,477 fans gathered at Alumni Memorial Stadium. Elij
