The Will Wade coaching era got off to a red-hot start on Monday night as the NC State Wolfpack absolutely dominated North Carolina Central in their 2025-26 regular-season opener.

NC State pulled no punches against its opponent at Raleigh's Lenovo Center, finishing the game with a 114-66 final score.

Led by 19 points from Texas Tech transfer Darrion Williams, seven of Wade's players finished with double-figure scoring. The Wolfpack shot 57.8% from the field, 47.5% from behind the 3-point arc and 70% from the free-throw line. The team also out-rebounded NC Central 39-24, recorded 27 assists and forced a whopping 13 steals.
