Zerodha co-founder Nithin Kamath responded to a man who alleged that the trading platform prevented him from withdrawing his own money and called the firm’s policy a “scam”.

In a now-viral post on X, Aniruddha Malpani wrote, “The Zerodha scam! They do not allow me to withdraw my own money from their account, saying the daily limit for withdrawal is Rs 5 crore. They use my money for free. This is unfair.”

He also posted screenshots from his account.

One screenshot stated: “A maximum of 5 crores can be withdrawn per day. For instant withdrawals, requests must be for a minimum of Rs 100 and not exceed Rs 2,00,000 per day. The withdrawal limit is subject to the availability of withdrawable balance in the trading account.”

The second screenshot showed his available cash and used margin.
