INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after officers found a man shot and critically wounded on Indy's northeast side Monday.

Around 6:45 p.m., police responded to a report of a person shot in the 6500 block of East 42nd Street , near Shadeland Avenue.

When officers arrived on scene, IMPD says they found an adult man who had been shot and was reported to be in critical condition.

IMPD did not share any further information on the circumstances of the shooting.
