EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) - Firefighters were at the scene of a house fire on Oakley and Louisiana Street in Evansville early Tuesday morning.

Crews say when they arrived at approximately 2:30 a.m., flames were shooting through the roof of a garage at the intersection of the two streets. Firefighters were putting water on a garage next door after smoke started showing from it.

Our crew at the scene said the fire got so hot it melted the siding of another garage across an alleyway.
