QUINCY (WGEM) - Monday evening, the Palmyra School District hosted a public forum event inviting residents of the district to discuss the school’s future comprehensive school improvement plan (CSIP).
Last year, the school district approved $8.2 million to be used in school renovation plans.
The renovations included the high school gym, science and alternative education classrooms, new kitchen, public restrooms, gym, and gym commons upgrades.
The second phase of the renovation plan includes outfitting the district with LED lighting, a new playground and two tennis courts by summer of 2026. The second phase of the renovation plans will be funded by the remaining funds from the bond issue as well as from reserves if needed.
