BRECKSVILLE, Ohio

Property damage, Brecksville Road: On Oct. 1, a North Royalton dad and his son came to the police station to report property damage.

An arriving officer talked to the latter, who said leaving Cuyahoga Valley Career Center on Brecksville Road he encountered road construction just as trucks began dumping asphalt.

This resulted in damaging his 2016 Subaru -- specifically the tires and undercarriage.

They provided photos of the damage, which showed visible asphalt residue.

The officer also noted the police department received two other similar reports from drivers in the area.

The owner of the trucking company said he would cover any damage costs out of pocket and without going through insurance.
