DALLAS — Before a disappointing loss to the Cardinals, Jerry Jones told Stephen A. Smith that the Cowboys planned to make a trade, or several trades, ahead of the Tuesday trade deadline. Reports indicate that a deal is being finalized.
Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the Cowboys will pick up Bengals Middle Linebacker Logan Wilson.
Another NFL insider, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, is reporting the Cowboys are trading a seventh-round pick to the Bengals for Wilson.
Wilson, 29, was drafted by the Bengals in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Since then, he has notched 11 career interceptions and forced 7 fumbles with the team.
Wilson is in the middle of a four-year $36 million contract, which runs through the end of the 2027 season.
