A person was shot during a robbery on Scruggs Street in Chattanooga, according to the police department.
At 11:00pm on Monday, November 3, Chattanooga police received reports of a person shot.
Police say the victim was picked up by someone he knew and an unknown man approached the vehicle.
The suspect demanded money from the victim and then shot him, according to police.
Officers say the suspect and the known driver of the victim both fled the scene before police arrived.
The shooting victim is a 37-year-old man. Police say his injuries are not life-threatening. However, he was interviewed by police in a hospital.
The Chattanooga Police Department is still investigating.
