Authorities are investigating a fire that broke out Nov. 3 at the MAPS Air Museum in Green that destroyed Vietnam War artifacts in a MASH tent adjacent to the museum's main hangar, Ted Mathies, Vietnam War veteran and exhibit owner , confirmed.
"I believe the fire caused a total loss to the exhibit, I don't know how I am going to replace any of this," Mathies said.
The fire originated in a Vietnam War-era MASH tent known as the Medic's Corner at about 11:15 p.m., Beacon Journal partner News 5 Cleveland reported . The tent held a variety of military medical equipment, including stretchers, bandages, IV equipment and a portable X-ray machine.
