While Anthony Wayne volleyball still has aspirations for more hardware when it plays in the state semifinal Saturday, that didn't stop the Generals from picking some accolades up this week.
Anthony Wayne coach Chrissy Graven was named Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association Division II coach of the year, while Leah and Mallory Pike joined both made the All-Ohio first team.
Leah Pike, a middle blocker and setter, is hitting .471 this season and averaging 3.9 kills per set, 2.2 digs, and 4.0 assists. Her hitting percentage ranks fifth in all of Ohio, according to MaxPreps.
Mallory Pike, an outside hitter, is hitting .299 with 3.6 kills per set to go with 3.4 digs and 55 total service aces.
