BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Birmingham Police have charged a man in connection with that huge fire early Halloween morning in Five Points South.

Joshua Jay Mitchell, 42, of Roanoke, is charged with second-degree arson in the fire that started in the 1300 block of 20th Street South.

He was arrested in the 1200 block of 20th Street South that same day.

Mitchell is also facing multiple charges, including second-degree arson, for a fire he is accused of setting at Big Escape Rooms located at 1210 20th Street S in Suite 250.

Big Escape Rooms is right across 13th Avenue South from where the massive fire destroyed buildings facing 20th Street South on Friday morning, Oct. 31 .
