Exactly one year ago today, a little more than 4,000 fans packed into Crisler Center to watch Michigan blow out Cleveland State in Dusty May’s head coaching debut in Ann Arbor. It’s crazy to see how far the program has come since then.
Fresh off a Big Ten Tournament title and a Sweet Sixteen appearance, 11,801 fans crammed into Crisler Center for last night’s season-opening win over Oakland, 121-78. Twenty-one of those 121 points came from true freshman Trey McKenney. He also grabbed four rebounds, dished out four assists and shot 7-of-10 from the field, including 6-of-8 from three. In the 27 minutes McKenney was on the floor, Michigan posted a +38.
