VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) - Two adults were displaced Monday night after their home on Sterling Place in Valdosta caught fire, according to the Valdosta Fire Department.
The incident unfolded just before 9:20 p.m. Monday after firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire in the 2300 block of Sterling Place, VFD announced in a social media post.
The first unit arrived and found heavy flames coming from two windows of a single-family home, the fire department said. Moments later, fire crews quickly brought the fire under control.

“The cause of the fire was determined to be electrical in nature,” VFD said.
All occupants of the home were able to exit safely before firefighters arrived on scene, per VFD.
