BISMARCK — State Sen. Kristin Roers, R-Fargo, has been given the 2025 Election Hero Award by North Dakota Secretary of State Michael Howe.
Howe said in a release that Roers, who represents a portion of south Fargo and Horace, was given the award "in recognition of her outstanding service to North Dakota citizens, notably for her support of their elections."
“Senator Roers has provided support for our elections, not just as a legislator, but also by serving firsthand as an election worker, making her deserving of the Election Hero Award," Howe said in a statement.
McKenzie County Auditor Erica Johnsrud nominated Roers for the award. Johnsrud said Roers supports and upholds the integrity of the election process, according to a release from the Secretary of State.
