HAMPTON COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - The Hampton County Sheriff’s Office has named Boynton Woodrow O’Brien (51) of Hampton, South Carolina, as the deceased victim in a shooting incident that occurred on Altman Road near Whippy Swamp Bridge on November 3, 2025.

WTOC has previously reported how the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting incident near Whippy Swamp Bridge Monday night .

According to the sheriff’s office, two people were shot. The Whippy Swamp Bridge on Altman Road remained closed for several hours.

Officials say the second victim was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

Hampton County Coroner Anna Fields notified the family of the deceased.
