LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Las Vegas Metro Police announced over a dozen people were arrested during a Halloween sex offender compliance check.
According to LVMPD, between Oct. 27 and Oct. 31, an in-person enforcement operation took place across Clark County to ensure compliance with sex-offender registration rules and regulations.
Officials report that, through the course of the operation, nearly 2,000 sex offenders were contacted, which resulted in a total of 19 arrests.
8 people were arrested, facing charges related to failing to follow sex offender registration laws, and 11 others were taken into custody on sex offense charges and outstanding warrants, said LVMPD.
