A car was deliberately set on fire along a Cambridgeshire town street. Emergency services, including fire and rescue and police , were called to a car fire along Sandpit Lane in Northstowe at around 12.30am today (Tuesday, November 4).
Firefighters found the car “well alight” on arrival. The cause of the fire is thought to be deliberate.
A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “At 12.21am this morning crews from Cottenham and Cambridge were called to a fire on Sandpit Lane in Northstowe. Firefighters arrived to find a car well alight.
“Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their stations by 2.15am. The cause of the fire was deliberate.”
