YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- A city man who pleaded guilty in September for a robbery in Boardman was sentenced Tuesday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court to two years in prison.
Randolph Jeter received the sentence from Judge John Durkin following guilty pleas to charges of robbery, a second-degree felony and misdemeanor counts of assault and aggravated menacing.
Jeter is accused of storming into a South Avenue home in October 2024, beating a woman who lived there, and taking a bottle of medication from her that he said he was going to sell.
Police said the woman suffered multiple injuries from being hit several times and was treated by EMTs on the scene, the report stated.
Jeter was arrested later at his home on the West Side of Youngstown following a brief standoff.
