PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Peoria police have identified the woman arrested for arson after Monday's apartment fire.
Vanessa M. Walker, 45, was arrested for residential arson and criminal property damage, Peoria Police Department spokesperson Semone Roth said.
At 3:37 p.m. on Nov. 3, Peoria police and fire crews went to an apartment fire in the 200 block of North East Madison Avenue.
All occupants were safely evacuated. Four apartments were affected by fire and water damage, displacing four residents, Peoria Fire Department's Mike Ralston said at the time.
The fire caused an estimated $80,000 in damage, he said.
Roth said when officers arrived, they spoke to Walker, who was subsequently arrested. She was taken to the Peoria County Jail, where she remains in custody.
