PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Stormy weather returns to northwest Oregon and southwest Washington heading into Tuesday night. Moderate to heavy rainfall and strong winds will set up as a strong low-pressure system shifts inland and over the region.
Tuesday Night
Expect light rain showers to arrive in Portland anytime after about 3 PM. Rain showers along the coastline could be heavy at times as strong rain bands swing in.
Wind gusts are also expected to increase with speeds up to 35 mph around the Portland metro area this evening. However, widespread power outages are not expected.
Wednesday
The wet weather and gusty winds continue into Wednesday for the Willamette Valley and coastline. Scattered thunderstorms could pop up across the region, bringing brief downpours, gusty winds, lightning,
