Portsmouth, Ohio (WTRF) — A Portsmouth man was arrested on felony drug charges after officers executed a search warrant at his home, according to the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force.
On November 3, 2025, around 3:34 p.m., task force officers and the Portsmouth Police SWAT team searched the home of 62-year-old John Wallington at 1822 Dexter Avenue.
During the search, officers recovered approximately 81.73 grams of suspected fentanyl or opiates, 9.39 grams of suspected crack cocaine, five loaded firearms, digital scales, packaging materials, and $3,801 in cash. Investigators said the street value of the seized drugs is estimated at $10,963.
Wallington was arrested and charged with trafficking and possession of drugs, both first-degree felonies. He was booked into the Scioto County Jail.
