Jeff Walz begins his 19th season as the Louisville women's basketball coach today as the 19th-ranked Cardinals take on top-ranked UConn in the 2025 Peraton Armed Forces Classic.

The programs are playing the third game of a four-game series. The Huskies have won the previous two games, but the Cardinals are looking to change that trend. They'll debut four new starters alongside Taj Roberts , who returns after a standout freshman season. As the team's leading returning scorer, she's learning how to embrace being the focal point. The element of surprise is no longer there as the California native looks to take the next step in her development.
