After just over two weeks of testimony, the Crown rested its case in the jury trial for the man charged with killing Misha Pavelick.
The accused is charged with second-degree murder for allegedly stabbing and killing 19-year old Pavelick at the Kinookimaw campground near Regina Beach, about 45 kilometres northwest of Regina, on May 21, 2006. He pleaded not guilty.
The identity of the 36-year-old accused is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act because he was 17 at the time.
Crown prosecutor Adam Breker called on just over 30 of the 50 potential witnesses that were listed at the beginning of the trial on Oct. 20, with the last four witnesses testifying Monday.
