Tom Brady's family game plan will have you seeing double.
Nearly two years after the former NFL quarterback's beloved dog Lua died , he revealed that his new pup, Junie, is a clone of his former pet thanks to the help of biotech company Colossal Biosciences.
"I love my animals," Brady said, citing a press release obtained by People . "They mean the world to me and my family. A few years ago, I worked with Colossal and leveraged their non-invasive cloning technology through a simple blood draw of our family's elderly dog before she passed."
The company — which also announced its acquisition of biotech company ViaGen Pets and Equine — was able to give the 48-year-old's family, as Brady put it, "A second chance with a clone of our beloved dog."
