Firefighters was were driving along Interstate 4 when they noticed a large amount of smoke around noon, according to OFD.
Crews from OFD responded to the scene in the area of the 600 block on South Street immediately.
They were able to rescue one adult who had become trapped inside the one-story duplex home. They also were able to fully extinguish the fire.
According Raphael Ferreira, the District Chief with the City of Orlando Fire Department, a total of five people have been displaced as a result of the fire.
Investigators are working to figure out how the fire started and its origin.
