Turnout at the polls in Manchester was light but steady throughout the day Tuesday as voters cast ballots in the 2025 municipal election.

In Manchester, the ballot was topped by the mayoral race between Republican incumbent Jay Ruais and Democratic Ward 8 school board member Jessica Spillers. Former alderman, school board member and 2021 mayoral candidate Rich Girard announced a write-in campaign for mayor on Oct. 28.

Citywide, voters in Manchester were also choosing two aldermen at large and two school committee members at large. In each ward, they would elect one alderman, one school committee member and various ward officials.

As of mid-afternoon, city officials were predicting around a 13% voter turnout. A drive around the city to various polling locations seemed to back that number
