CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man is facing a murder charge after a welfare check was conducted at a home in Tennessee.
Officers responded to a home in Lake Tansi following up on a requested welfare check on a 76-year-old woman on Monday.
Linda Spivey was found murdered, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, at about 9 p.m.
Later, Kenneth Spivey, 59, was arrested and charged with the woman’s murder, CCSO said.

The 59-year-old is jailed on a $1 million bond in Cumberland County with a court date set for December 8.
“The victim will be transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Nashville, Tennessee, for autopsy, and all evidence will be analyzed by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Crime Labor
