With all the uncertainty around federal food benefits, organizers behind the annual Stuff-A-Bus are hoping for a record-breaking year in donations.
“People really understand the urgency of it. It’s palpable right now,” said Tom Donahue, chief executive officer of BROC Community Action, which runs the BROC Community Food Shelf. “I think the public understanding of the need right now has never been greater, so I think we’ll see a record Stuff-A-Bus this year.”
