Like many Wallabies fans Taniela Tupou has erased much of Australia's last match in Italy in 2022, although he hasn't forgotten about the historic outcome.

The Wallabies lost their first Test to the Italians in 19 matches and 39 years, Ben Donaldson missing a conversion kick after the siren for the tourists to suffer a 28-27 defeat.

Prop Tupou is one of eight players from that Florence Test who will line up at Udine's Stadio Friuli on Sunday morning (AEDT), desperate not to suffer the same fate.

Jake Gordon, who was forced to watch two Italy tries due to an early yellow card, Len Ikitau, Hunter Paisaimi and Allan Alaalatoa are some of the others backing up with the loss contributing to the sacking of coach Dave Rennie.
