Mandurah’s Avenue of Honour will open just in time for Remembrance Day.

The project, planned by Mandurah RSL, has improved the existing grove of New Zealand Christmas trees by the Mandurah War Memorial, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

The avenue now includes decorated plaques to memorialise and honour the Mandurah residents who made the ultimate sacrifice during war.

Funded as part of his election promises, MLA Rhys Williams said the avenue, along with other upgrades to the memorial, was an investment in the local veterans community that continued to serve in so many ways.
