When owners of the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom first introduced plans to tear down the complex and start anew with a $600 million redevelopment, the larger-than-life plan seemed unimaginable.
Now, it’s closer than ever.
Developers Sal Lupoli and Fred Schaake are set to present updated plans to the Hampton Planning Board on Wednesday for a vote. The newest rendition of the plan would span between F and D streets on Ocean Boulevard and feature a tiered structure with taller sections toward the back.
“We hope it makes it feel much more New Englandy and much less of the Art Deco, Miami thing,” Rick Friberg, CEO and engineer with TEC Inc, told the Planning Board at its meeting last month.
