WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Several school districts in our region are making their pitch for funding to the West Virginia School Building Authority.
One of those is Wayne County, with the school board asking for $1.5 million to renovate the entrances at 11 schools for safety purposes.
The school board says they are not asking for new construction, but rather modernizing the existing buildings to keep children safe.
The final decisions will be made by the SBA in December.
