OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - People who rely on SNAP benefits to feed their families had hope this morning when the Trump administration announced it would follow a court ruling and issue half of the benefits that millions depend on.
But President Trump later wrote on Truth Social that he would withhold SNAP benefits until “radical left Democrats open up government,” leaving families uncertain about their next meal.
The minute-by-minute changes have left many people standing in line for help at local food pantries.
Lines formed outside the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry because the facility reached capacity inside. Tiffany Lundsford waited to get into the pantry after not receiving her SNAP benefits this month.
