Voters turned out steadily across Coweta County on Tuesday as residents headed to the polls to weigh in on a wide range of local and statewide issues.

By midafternoon, poll managers reported a consistent flow of voters. At Panther Creek Community Center, 261 people had cast ballots by 2:30 p.m., while more than 1,500 voters had been through the doors at the Donald W. Nixon Centre by 3:30 p.m. More than 10,000 residents voted early ahead of Election Day.

“I did not expect it to be this heavy,” said Paul Harper, poll manager at the Nixon Centre.
