Hold onto your hats because it was windy out there on Tuesday, and it's going to get more intense Wednesday night into Thursday.

Tracy Dailey, from West Hartford said those hours spent raking leaves may have been for nothing.

"The leaf piles we have raked so far are no more," Dailey said. "So we have to do that all over again.”

She is not alone. Benjamin Shoemaker, the owner and operator of Handsome Handyman Services in Middletown, said blustery conditions cause all sorts of issues for people.

“Packages. I've seen a lot of packages blown away these days with Amazon deliveries and stuff happening all the time,” Shoemaker said.

These strong gusts are not only inconvenient but also dangerous.
