MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) - Thousands voted in the 2025 general election in Martinsville.
As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, 1,770 in-person votes were counted.
As for early in-person voting, there were over 1,200 votes.
Sara Workman, Martinsville’s General Registrar says Martinsville broke the record for the highest number of early in-person votes in a non-presidential election.
Martinsville has three local offices that are being opposed for the first time in a very long time. Those positions are the commonwealth’s attorney, the commissioner of revenue, and the treasurer.
