The allotted time for cheering Tuesday’s election results is already over. We could afford Tuesday, and that’s it.

Just ask California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

And no, I’m not trying to rain on our parade. Those of us who wholeheartedly oppose President Donald Trump and his poisonous MAGA movement have every reason to feel good about Tuesday’s election results. Because the Republican Party that Trump has beaten and twisted into a painfully contorted position of worn-out knees submission didn’t just lose, they got stomped. And they know it.
