One of the bigger surprises of the 2025 NFL trade deadline (and there were many) included the New York Jets’ decision to keep star running back Breece Hall, but the Kansas City Chiefs didn’t go down without trying.
Breece Hall is having a career year and is in the final season of his rookie deal. But instead of dealing Hall, the Jets pulled off two other stunners by trading All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts and Pro Bowl defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys.
According to a report from Connor Hughes of SNY, the Chiefs offered a fourth-round pick to New York for the star running back. But the Jets wanted a third-round pick, a price the defending AFC champs wouldn’t pay:
