AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - “In recognition of the contributions and sacrifices made by members of our armed forces, as well as the transformative possibilities of animal companionship,” the Humane Society of Summit County is celebrating Veterans Day with a 50% off adoption fee discount for veterans, active military members, and their families all November long.

Adoptions are half-off for those who provide a valid military identification, or other proof that they are a military family member, from Nov. 1-30.
