Avon voters went to the polls today to vote on whether to extend the Avon school district’s operating referendum for another eight years to help sustain small class sizes and competitive teacher pay.
Polls in central Indiana are now closed.
The school district asked voters to approve a new lower rate than what was originally passed in 2018, and are now seeking a rate of 33-cents per $100 of assessed value which they believe will bring in over $14 million annually to the district.
